Community table

The community table is the least formal thing Post 7172 does. Coffee goes on at midmorning, the comrades bring a dish, and the door stays open. People who would never attend a business meeting will sit down for this — Staten Island, NY.

It is also how the post hears what the town needs next. A conversation over a plate becomes next month’s project. The minutes, if anyone writes them, are short.
