John A Le Jeune #332, the Marine Corps League Detachment 332 — Virginia Beach, VA. The detachment dates to 1965, when veterans home from the Second World War and Korea wanted a room of their own and a way to keep serving after the uniform came off.
The work is ordinary and steady. A flag detail at a funeral. A winter drive that fills a corner of the hall with gifts. A scholarship evening where the members hand an envelope to a student and then go back to the coffee. None of it is loud. All of it is the point of the charter.
Meetings are 1st Wednesday, 7:30 PM, at the hall — Virginia Beach. This page is a sample so neighbors can see the shape of the work. The group itself has not claimed the page, so the stories here are an illustration, written in the voice the detachment might use.

What the notebook says so far
Late summer the detachment looked back at the notebook. The honor detail had been out more than once, the community table had fed a crowded room, and the officers reminded everyone that the next business meeting is 1st Wednesday, 7:30 PM. This note is a sample of how the detachment might tell that year — Virginia Beach, VA.
