Brandon-Wilbourn #820, the Marine Corps League Detachment 820 — Huntsville, AL. The detachment dates to 1993, when veterans home from Vietnam and the years that followed wanted a room of their own and a way to keep serving after the uniform came off.
The work is ordinary and steady. A flag detail at a funeral. A winter drive that fills a corner of the hall with gifts. A scholarship evening where the members hand an envelope to a student and then go back to the coffee. None of it is loud. All of it is the point of the charter.
The regular meeting is 4th Saturday, 11:00 AM. Anyone planning to visit should confirm the night before they come, because a funeral detail or a weather delay can move it. Between meetings the members stay in touch the old way: at the hall, and through the officers listed on this sample site — Huntsville, AL.

What the notebook says so far
