A few of the things the post keeps on the calendar — Elsmere, KY. These write-ups are sample stories, in the voice the post might use.
| Veteran support | Veterans | American Legion Post 20 Simon Kenton. Each year the post sets aside time for local veterans: a ride, a meal, or a quiet check-in after a hard week — Elsmere, KY. |
| Honor detail | Veterans | When a local veteran is laid to rest, Post 20 sends an honor detail with the flag and a few Legionnaires who know the ceremony — Elsmere, KY. |
| Scholarship evening | Community | Each spring the post awards a small scholarship and invites the family to the hall — Elsmere, KY. |
