American Legion Post 241 New Breman Oh, the American Legion Post 241 — New Bremen, OH. The post dates to 1922, when veterans home from the World Wars wanted a room of their own and a way to keep serving after the uniform came off.
People point to the post for the Memorial Day observance and for the quieter help that never makes a program — New Bremen. The Legionnaires would rather be useful than famous, which is why the hall still smells like coffee on meeting night.
Meetings are the first Thursday at 7:00 PM, at the hall — New Bremen. This page is a sample so neighbors can see the shape of the work. The group itself has not claimed the page, so the stories here are an illustration, written in the voice the post might use.
