- VFW Post #3289
- New York Mls, MN
In 1923 a handful of veterans chartered Post 3289 — New York Mls, MN. From that first meeting the post grew into a hall that still marks the year with a memorial service, a community project, and a table full of people who know one another’s stories.
People point to the post for the Memorial Day observance and for the quieter help that never makes a program — New York Mls. The comrades would rather be useful than famous, which is why the hall still smells like coffee on meeting night.
The regular meeting is the first Thursday at 7:00 PM. Anyone planning to visit should confirm the night before they come, because a funeral detail or a weather delay can move it. Between meetings the comrades stay in touch the old way: at the hall, and through the officers listed on this sample site — New York Mls, MN.
