- VFW Post #8734
- Little Valley, NY
In 1943 a handful of veterans chartered Post 8734 — Little Valley, NY. From that first meeting the post grew into a hall that still marks the year with a memorial service, a community project, and a table full of people who know one another’s stories.
People point to the post for the Memorial Day observance and for the quieter help that never makes a program — Little Valley. The comrades would rather be useful than famous, which is why the hall still smells like coffee on meeting night.
Meetings are the third Wednesday at 6:30 PM, at the hall — Little Valley. This page is a sample so neighbors can see the shape of the work. The group itself has not claimed the page, so the stories here are an illustration, written in the voice the post might use.
