VFW Post 8759 Amelia. Its post has met since 1940 — Amelia Ct Hse, VA. The charter came in the years after the World Wars, and the comrades who stayed treated the monthly meeting as a standing promise: show up, look after one another, and leave the town a little better.
The work is ordinary and steady. A flag detail at a funeral. A winter drive that fills a corner of the hall with gifts. A scholarship evening where the comrades hand an envelope to a student and then go back to the coffee. None of it is loud. All of it is the point of the charter.
The meeting line says the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM, which is the rhythm the directory lists. Come for the business, stay for the people. The portraits and the posts here are sample material, standing in until the post writes its own — Amelia Ct Hse, VA.

What the notebook says so far
Late summer the post looked back at the notebook. This note is a sample of how the post might tell that year — Amelia Ct Hse, VA.
